Gas prices are bad everywhere, but they are horrible in Canada, when we were living on PEI it was almost $6 a gallon, and on top of it you had to drive half an hour just to get anywhere, even for groceries.

and that video is amazing! birds are awesome :)

Yeah gas and hotel can be expensive, Mav and I are fortunate to live right across the water, and the ferry is free to seattle, so we will probably walk there.

Oh yeah, the miniland stuff is awesome :) but the park itself wasn't as up kept as I would have expected (but I'm kinda biased, I am used to disneylands standards which most parks can't really compare :P) I am also kind of sad the models are just exposed to the elements, they have a lot of wear and tear :( 


I will post some pictures of the visit in the next couple of days :)

This is just amazing! I'm kind of bummed though, I just went to LEGOLAND the other day, if only we had delayed our trip by a week we could have seen this thing :P

If your interested in learning, A friend recommended me to these sites: http://blendtuts.com/, & http://www.blenderguru.com/. they are great, I would start with blendtuts, he gives a great intro to the interface and many of the hotkeys and explains the different areas of the program well.

and if you need a specific area of help you can always try searching for it on the web, I wanted my spaceship to have kind of a car paint look, so I looked up different tutorials on how to make cars and applied some of those techniques to my spaceship :P

Hey all! I spent the last week or so learning Blender, so I decided to make a real looking version of one of my LEGO creations, so while figuring out where to share it on the forum I figured I would just start a new topic for people to post this sort of thing into, so if you have made a drawing or a sculpture or something of a LEGO creation feel free to post it here!


Here is my depiction of my K-80 Elephant Starfighter as if it where a real ship, and the Original LEGO version for comparison

Okey dokey Peoples, I finished up the bits I wasn't finished with and rendered a pic of the redesigned Thrusters, so here it is, Also I found out hot to do some interesting stuff with the LDD to Pov-Ray converter, so I also created some blueprints and I came up with a name! So may I present the Andromeda IV.


P.s. this isn't technically a W.I.P. anymore so I'm not sure where to put it :P

Here it is folks! Its been a couple of weeks since I've done anything with this so I wanted to get back and finish it. its not completely done yet, but its enough for the render. So tell me what you think!

I will try to finish it up and get some more renders at different angles.

Great pics, I love the mountains, I need to remember I have a camera on my phone now...it was a super clear day yesterday and I could have got a great picture of seattle and all the surrounding mountains. :P
