Collectable Minifigures / Re: Your collection of minifigures so far!

I only used 30 pieces per series, mainly being 1 x Whatevers. That number could be cut down to around 20 if you don't care about the back color.

Collectible minifigs 1-9 by Jarren543, on Flickr

That about sums it up.  :D they are normally displayed across my shelf in 4x4 platforms for each series, but they didn't fit into the picture that way. I also printed custom plaques for each series. Will I continue? Not sure I can stop now. I rectify this by comparing it to the money other people will spend on trading cards or Xbox games. Honestly, I have bought only 1 or 2 lego sets these past 3 years, instead I'm getting these!

And here I was thinking up some sort of meataterian comeback. Looks like I'm greatly outnumbered.  :P overall very nice figure! Fits within the minifig scale nicely, just like your others! Keep it up, these little guys are fun!

Spot on! Great job with both the cars and the smashables! I like that you added the crowd too, adds depth to the image. I'm curious if a scene similar to this was ever set up a the LU office...

Both are incredible, the realism in both is astounding! Could we get more pictures of the house? It looks very realistic! Great job on these, I echo Red in saying the pig draws the eye to the catapult for some reason, lol!

Aaaaaaah!!!!! Your there?!?! Take lots and lots of photos please! This has practically been my obsession in all my free time, and I still don't know all the details! I skimped out of buying the 2.0, and was stuck with lo-tech for 6 years. I am now seriously considering plunking down the cash. (I owe it to myself, I haven't bought any lego for 2-3 years other than minifigures) only thing I'm confused about is the pronunciation. I'm sure it's Ee Vee three, but I can't help calling it eve. Ironically, I called this name back when I got the NXT. Figured the next generation would be refered to evolution in some way.

If possible, could you try and get some info on the programming for me? From the lo-res shots it looks completely different from the NXT-G, but I couldn't make out any details. Also any shots of the EV3 screen would be awesome. Alright, I'll stop with the requests. You enjoy yourself down there and thanks for volunteering to take some pics!

Thanks all, very encouraging as this was a bit out of my comfort zone. However I'm still not liking the reindeer much. Too big and bulky. I just need to find a scale that works. Any ideas welcome.

LEGO General Discussion / Re: What did you get for Christmas?
« on: December 26, 2012, 12:08:26 am »
Nothing much in terms of LEGO, the unofficial LEGO technic builders guide (which I still need to look at) and the LOTR video game, too much fun with that. Over all a good Christmas. I enjoyed time with the family and helped my 5 year old bro build some city sets. Oh, and our dog had puppies on The 23rd, so those are kind of like Christmas presents!  :D

MOCs / Here comes Santa Claus
« on: December 24, 2012, 07:52:55 pm »
Ho, ho, ho!

Firstly, notice the sleigh number on the ski. Santa has had trouble keeping up with the global population, and has created clones of himself to compensate. However, sleigh number 3178 is the official one santa rides in.

Onward Dancer, onward Rudolf, onward- oh thats it.

Santa is wary of those new GPS gadget thingymajigers, so he relies on his trusty maps to get him from house to house. If only he could figure out where he was at the moment.

Other than that I don't have much to say about it. It was one of my funner builds, and resulted in my room being a complete mess by the time I was done. Fell free to check out the other pictures on my Flickr Stream. Have a Holly Jolly Christmas everyone!

Too cool! I just cannot get over your ability to bend those models in LDD! I wonder how it would hold up in real life? Think there would be any way to build up a basic template to build off of? I could imagine some really cool warrior mechs based off of this base.

Wow! Looks nice and slick! The color scheme is very neat, and the overall shape is quite unique. It's cool that your dad builds with you! My dad sometimes has cool ideas, but can never actually attempt them.

Sorry for the double post, but this was too good to pass up: http://youtu.be/lD9FAOPBiDk interesting marketing approach, but very well done.
